No matter the size or shape of the woman that wears one of Butter by Nadia's dresses, the silhouettes and the fabrics used by the brand are meant to fit every figure beautifully- which explains why the "one size fits all" New York niche label has been such a massive hit in the States since being launched in 2002. As designer Nadia says herself, her dresses are at one “simple, sexy and sophisticated" and meant to flatter all women. And if that wasn't enough, the dresses can be washed by hand and don't need ironing, which means some serious dry cleaning savings. Genius...
And to prove how flattering those one size only dresses really are, I organised a photo shoot with a group of girlfriends, none of whom are models to showcase the Satin Signature Wrap Dress, the most iconic style of the brand: BBC producer Carol Roussel, Evening Standard editor Bo Wilson, Flaere gallery owner Helene Schneider, Coconut Grove dance studios owner Marissa Joseph, choregrapher Thalia Charamboulos, writer Madeleine Burbridge, student Ray Kolodny, costume designer Mia Flodquist and art writer Aude Langlois-Meurinne.
Shot by wonderful photographer Philippa Gedge (www.philippagedge.com) at Electric House, the photo below shows how different the same dress can look on various body shapes and styles, with the common link that all the girls -whose age range goes from 32 to 43 and whose size goes from 6 to 14- look seriously hot!
